MINO is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a significant contract by Aluminium Norf GmbH (ALUNORF) for the design and supply of a state-of-the-art, fully automatic Preparation Station for one of its single-stand Cold Rolling Mills (CRM) in Neuss, Germany. This modernization project aims to further improve efficiency, automation, and processing capabilities within the facility.

This new system will replace the existing preparation station, which has been in operation for many years, and will bring substantial advancements to ALUNORF’s production process.

Key benefits of this upgrade include:

  • Product flexibility: The new system will enable to increase product adaptability.
  • Fully automated operation: The preparation process will be carried out without the need for manual intervention, ensuring higher efficiency, improved safety, and consistent quality.

The project takes advantage of advanced mechanical and automation solutions to enable a seamless, fully automatic coil preparation cycle. A critical aspect of the system is the ability to measure and verify all necessary coil parameters before processing. Moreover, given the exceptionally high productivity of ALUNORF’s CRM, the fully automated cycle will be designed to perform within an extremely short timeframe, ensuring minimal downtime and maximizing production output.
