MINO is proud to announce the successful rolling of the first coil at JUPALCO Aluminium Limited in India. This milestone marks the commitment of MINO in the Indian market, following other successful projects in completed in the last years.
The new Four-High Cold Rolling Mill for aluminium represents a major step in MINO’s ongoing commitment to deliver state-of-the-art technology to the global aluminium industry. Built for reliability, productivity, and precise process control, the Cold Mill includes the following key features:
- Capability to roll very wide strip, up to 2300 mm;
- Entry side trimmer and scrap chopper – ensuring precise strip width control and efficient scrap management;
- Online vibration monitoring system – continuously tracking mechanical and hydraulic equipment to enable predictive maintenance;
- Automatic full coil recirculation system – designed to maximize productivity and minimize downtime;
- Automatic spool handling system with manipulators – improving safety and efficiency in spool handling;
- Technological Control System (TCS) with induction-type hot edge heating – delivering superior strip shape and profile control, and minimizing tight-edge effects;
- Fire-fighting system – providing the highest standards of safety and protection for personnel and equipment.
This remarkable achievement has been possible by the dedication and competence of JUPALCO’s technical staff, working together with MINO’s highly skilled technicians, engineers, and on-site teams.
