A Series of Six-High Finishing Mills Successfully Running in China

Three Six-high Finishing Mills for copper and copper alloy strip have been successfully installed, commissioned and tested in China during the year 2012 and are now producing regularly, even exceeding design performances.

The three Six-High Finishing Mills have all similar configuration and technical features and are capable of rolling strip of a width ranging from 450 to 650 mm.

Notwithstanding a design minimum thickness of 0.050 mm, all mills have achieved thinner gauges and, most remarkably, even on copper alloys as hard as bronze.

All Mills have proved the achievement of superior quality on produced strip, particularly in the key quality parameters of thickness tolerance and flatness.
